Well, that is a apple tree in the Frankfurt area. You have to know, that the local drink of Frankfurt is Cidre, so here is needed a lot of apples ...

A very 'moody' shot; cider or Calvados, I can go with those.

... and a very dramatic sky to go with it ;)

Ratzfatz, Äppelwoi is not cidre, definitely not ;-). Äppelwoi is sour, brrrrrr.

You gave this Frankfurter apple tree quite a "Southern" touch in this photograph - could have been in Spain or Portugal or Southern France. I like it very much.

@Martina:
Your are right, Äppler is sour and some cidres a more o less sweet.
But sidra ... the spanish version of Asturia is like the Frankfurt version. I don't know the french or english versions of apple wine ... any way, I like it ... and I am not a local :)

Ah, you should try the French version (ALDI has them during the summer), they have a "brute" and a "douce" flavour - "douce" is for me. Usually, when we visit France we come back with the car's boot full of cidre bottles, ;-)

The b/w choice exalts a dramatic feeling watching at this. The composition is impeccable.
